Film project for IB final demonstrating directing and writing skills

Drift is a short film I made for my portfolio to be submitted to the International Baccalaureate program. It features characters from a fictional work I have been developing for many years. The characters have, of course, progressed and become far more realized than how they are presented in the film. Drift is almost a biography of the main character, who we discover is telling her life’s story to an indifferent court-ordered psychologist. I approached this film as an opportunity to explore my cinematography, as well as a trial run to see how these characters appeared on screen for the very first time. The characters and the story they are in are very important to me, so this film was a great opportunity to see how people responded to them, allowing me to make necessary rewrites.
